Welcome to Hackney Quarter Horses, home of Zan Tender Joe. Zan Tender Joe is an AQHA Champion, has a Register of Merit in Halter and Performance, and points in Halter, Heading, Healing, Hunter Under Saddle, Trail, and Reining. Zan Tender Joe will be standing on Stallion Avenue at the 2006 AQHA Congress in Columbus, OH.
Hackney Quarter Horses is owned and operated by Tim and Sandra Hackney and is located in Lincoln, Alabama (approximately 45 miles east of Birmingham, AL).  In 1995, we set out to find a stallion to breed to our own mares.  We researched to find some of the most productive and versatile bloodlines in Quarter Horse history.  We decided on the Zan Parr Bar line.  Zan Parr Bar died in 1988, yet in 2005 he is still the second in the all-time leaders of World Champions.  "Joe" was purchased as a yearling and campaigned in halter as a two year old.  He won the Alabama Open Horseman's Association class which consisted of approximated 50 entries. In just 40 AQHA shows, "Joe" earned his Halter Register of Merit and his Performance Register of Merit and received	Zan Tender Joe
his AQHA Championship.  He also received several all-around titles during his show career.     Our goal is to produce quality all-around horses - horses that perform well and look good doing it.  We have purchased several mares from different disciplines to accomplish this goal.  Our broodmare band consist of own daughters of Mr Conclusion, Beaus My Daddy, Kid Clu, Ima Cool Skip, Genuine Doc, Haidas Little Pep, Mister Tradition, and granddaughters of Two-Eyed Jack, Doc Bar, Handyman Jack, and Sonny Dee Bar.
